Born in Lodz, Poland, a survivor of the Lodz Ghetto and Auschwitz, he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Cukier, his three daughters and their families. Several years after her beloved husband Zeke passed away in 1985, Joyce attended her 50th high school reunion in 1992 where she ran into her high school sweetheart, Jack Taylor. Joyce was a voracious reader, sometimes finishing four books a week, and an avid crossword puzzle solver. Joyce’s thoughtfulness towards others was evident in many ways from her volunteering as a driver for cancer patients for over twenty years to her graciously delivering all the newspapers in her building to their respective doorsteps. She also served on the Bridgewood Master Association Board of Directors, including three years as its President. Joyce served as President of the Ladies Wednesday and Thursday Golf Leagues and won the Boca West Ladies Senior Championship golf tournament in 2012. ![]() In 1977 they moved to Boca Raton, FL, where they played golf, and Joyce played bridge regularly. They subsequently moved to Havana, Cuba, and later to Bogota, Colombia. Joyce and Zeke lived in Maracaibo, Venezuela, where they had three daughters. Louis, MO, briefly before embarking in 1948 on the adventure of a lifetime and living in three foreign countries for the duration of Zeke’s professional career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse. Joyce was born in Colfax, WA, in 1924 but grew up in Billings, MT, where she met her first husband C.K.
